How do I arrange for my CV to be prepared?
1 – Send us an introductory e-mail so that we can determine your requirements according to the job you are seeking. Following our initial contact, we will send you a form to fill out, personalised to the line of work you are seeking.
2 – Once we receive back your completed form, we require payment be made in full for the service you are requesting. This can be made via our Prices page.
3 – After confirmation of your payment we will begin working on your CV. We may also, at this stage, email you further questions about your past roles and achievements, to ensure the success of your CV and job application.
3 – Within 72 hours of receiving all of your details you will receive the first draft of your CV in Microsoft Word and PDF formats via e-mail. This allows you to read through the draft and bring to our attention any inaccuracies to be corrected.
Do I need a different CV and cover letter for every job I apply for?
Yes! Surveys show that CVs submitted with a matching cover letter are more successful in their role of enticing an employer to invite an applicant for an interview. Cover letters are a form of personalised professional introduction to the prospective employer, and add the ‘polish’ to your CV.
What is the difference between a CV and a résumé?
In the UK the standard document requested is the CV (Curriculum Vitae). This standard document is known as a CV in various countries, and as a résumé in others. See the list below for a brief guideline (some countries ask for either). Please note that when Global CVs & Résumés prepares your CV/résumé for an overseas position, we will work with our fellow international résumé writers to ensure we produce the most successful document for you, for that country.
CV – Australia, Canada (Quebec), China, France, New Zealand, UK
Résumé – Australia, Brazil, Canada, Spain, USA
